We just won another case against the Trump regime.
This latest legal victory means that the Trump administration must discontinue its unlawful attempt to suspend a federal program that has provided vocational and academic training to low-income young people all across America for over 60 years.
Here’s more about our win in this case:
As Adam Pulver — the Public Citizen attorney leading this case — noted to the national media, our win in this lawsuit “puts an end to the unlawful threat hanging over Job Corps students’ heads for the last year.”
Public Citizen has filed 46 lawsuits (so far) against the administration since Trump returned to power. Are these lawsuits alone enough to fully defeat Trump and MAGA? Of course not. But are they a meaningful part of the pushback that is the only chance we have to collectively save our country? No doubt about it.
What you and Public Citizen are doing together matters. What hundreds of other organizations, big and small, are doing matters. What millions upon millions of our fellow Americans are doing matters. We believe that to our core. We take solace in that. And we draw inspiration from that. We hope you do, too.
If you can, please donate today to support Public Citizen as we continue standing up to the Trump regime.
Anything you can chip in — $5 or $25, $50 or $100, $500 or even more — will make a difference right now.

This latest legal victory means that the Trump administration must discontinue its unlawful attempt to suspend a federal program that has provided vocational and academic training to low-income young people all across America for over 60 years.
Here’s more about our win in this case:
- In 1964 — as part of President Lyndon B. Johnson’s “War on Poverty” — Congress created the landmark Job Corps program, which provides vocational and academic training to low-income young people.
- For six decades, Job Corps has helped millions of at-risk youth by providing job training, housing, and assistance with GEDs.
- The Job Corps program has continued with ongoing bipartisan support in Congress — even when President Richard Nixon wanted to shrink it and President Ronald Reagan wanted to eliminate it altogether.
- But then Donald Trump was reelected, and tried to do what Nixon and Reagan couldn’t. In May of 2025 — in flagrant defiance of the law — the Trump regime announced that it was suspending the Job Corps program and closing all 99 Job Corps centers nationwide.
- Public Citizen — with Southern Poverty Law Center as co-counsel — filed a class-action lawsuit in federal court challenging the Trump administration’s illegal decision to close the Job Corps centers.
- Shortly after we filed this lawsuit, the judge wrote that the administration’s actions were “unprecedented” and that it “unequivocally” acted “unlawfully” in its scheme to kill the storied Job Corps program.
