Subject: We are under attack
My friends, Let your indignation rise. Something very valuable is being taken from you. Let us be clear what it is that is being stolen from all of us in plain sight without a fight. Before doing so, let me point out that Americans face a test of both resolve and faith. Therefore, it is important to connect some events and recent happenings together, and appreciate the power of cause and effect over our lives. Does anybody wish to be a serf? Do you believe that all men (women) were created equal? Do you believe that humanity is the gift of a creator who has given us inalienable rights, which include life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, above the powers of any other person to take from us? Do you believe in what Abraham Lincoln said in a Pennsylvania field during the Gettysburg Address?
If you do, then you must prepare to take a stand. There should be no confusion over the stakes of what is happening in 2025 America, 15 days into the Trump presidency, which was financed by the world's richest man to the tune of $300,000,000. When thinking about Trump the businessman it is his fraudulence and bankruptcies that have always distinguished him. His petty scams of contractors, cheap wine, fatty steaks, a fake university, charities, and every other artifice married to pretense, were the Trump business. It was always mythological in the sense that it was an unfolding con that was fueled by a voracious tabloid media that made a scumbag a star, and then a reality TV king, pretending to be what he never for a day ever was: successful. But now, things are looking up. He has found success on his back as Elon's whore. Purchased for $300,000,000, only Donald could figure out how to transform the office of president of the United States into a discount brand. He has turned the cloth of the nation into cheap fascistic costumes that adorn the daily follies from the White House desecrated by the presence of the people John Adams prayed would never arrive, but have:
Now Donald is president, and that is not enough for the Locust King. Donald wishes to be a King in America. He has knighted Elon Musk as Citizen 1, who has loosed a team of his incels upon the federal government, installing them in the White House complex, and has seized control of the Treasury Department's trillion dollar payment system without any lawful authority of any type from anywhere to do so. Here are Elon's incels: According to The New York Times, Elon and his "Children of the Corn" have declared that they are above the law, and anyone who dares even look at them and says their names out loud is to be made a criminal, at least according to Malachai.
To this I say — and I hope you'll join me in saying: GO F#@K YOURSELF! Maybe we'll be stuffed on a military transport and sent off to imprisonment in El Salvador where Nayib Bukele, the 43-year-old dictator, has promised to house Americans whom Trump declares criminals, alongside his gangsters in the prison of no return. After all, according to five credible journalists and Maggie Haberman at The New York Times:
Indeed. This does seem to be the crux of the matter. How did that happen? What can be done? For the record, Paul Krugman (now on Substack) has echoed what former NYT editorial page editor James Bennet talked honestly and candidly about, which are the factors that have eroded trust and credibility at the world's largest puzzle company, which declares itself the "paper of record," while ignoring the rise of George Santos to Congress just miles from its doors in Manhattan. The New York Times exists in a state of dependency with Donald Trump. They are business partners yoked together by the shared fruits of their success. Trump has used the presidency to become a bitcoin billionaire, and The New York Times has used its puzzles to keep the American people puzzled about the news, without going bankrupt like all of the rest of America's most dishonest media brands. They have done so because access is the coin of the realm. Walter Duranty has come back to life in the form of Ms. Haberman, whose journalism is as shoddy as her absurdist claims to singular insights about Trump. She is a tragic character in a farce. By the way, congratulations to Joe Biden on being signed by CAA. After all, none of this would have been possible without him, and if the movie about America's collapse is made soon enough, maybe Biden can play himself and appreciate it is the only legacy anyone will ever remember. He is the selfish old man who wrote this disaster. Sounds like a great Netflix special, but I digress… In an interview with MSNBC's Ari Melber, The New York Times has been accused by Krugman, its former Nobel Prize-winning economics reporter, of failing to meet this moment of history by repeatedly "sanewashing" Donald Trump over the last decade:
The New York Times has long publicly declared that its star political reporter, Maggie Haberman, colleague of Scott Jennings, singularly understands The Donald, who calls her his "psychiatrist." The web of familial connections and conflicts between the Kushners, Trumps and Habermans would have disqualified Maggie Haberman a generation ago from covering her mother's employers, but it's a new day. When Chuck Todd talks about the collapse of trust and delivers this brutal truth there is no person in America who stands more firmly in the center of the circle than "Access Maggie" and The New York Times, which allowed its chief political reporter to withhold vital information from the American public to be sold in her book, which is the journalism equivalent of Donald and Melania coins. Here's part of what Todd said in his internal note to NBC employees upon his departure:
Let's get back to the earlier question. What can be done? Let us sample some impotence from "Lay Down" Chuck Schumer:
What a silly man in a serious moment. Here is Donald Trump's tip of the spear talking about government employees who serve their country as park rangers to water engineers. Government employees are our neighbors and friends. Some are our children. Others are our moms and dads, husbands and wives. None are billionaires, and none are enemies of the people or state, but that is what the president's henchmen slander them, according to The New York Times:
Have no doubt that Mr. Vought, a pure bred wack job of exquisite pedigree, will join his fellows and ladies in a platoon of moral misfits, conspiracy theorists, accused sexual predators, drunks, criminals and pliant "yes" men and women, and one ICE Barbie with many looks and hats in Trump's cabinet. The cabinet was appointed by Trump, but created by the United States Senate turned Trump Politburo. It is fallen, corrupt and irrelevant. Chuck Schumer is as pathetic as Neville Chamberlin in 1938. He is a fool being unmasked in the town square, where he stands naked pretending to fight back against something he didn't stop when he could have, and didn't see coming when he should have. He chose to be blind when it was duty to see. He chose to be deaf when it was his duty to hear. He chose to back slap when it was his duty to confront. He chose inanity when it was his moment to rise. The Constitution of the United States is being singed by the flames of arsonists, and Chuck Schumer has reached for an avocado and a Corona. Weakness and stupidity cannot be fixed. A refusal to face what could have been politely whispered nine years ago becomes a suicide pact in which I'm not particularly interested in participating. The decision of Senate Democrats to maintain Chuck Schumer as their leader in the face of loss and defeat should be seen for what it is. Trump faces Jonestown Democrats. He is on the march, and they take turns guarding and drinking the Kool-Aid. He matters only in the sense that it is on his back and his legacy of nothingness and platitudes that led America into the abyss, that great men and women will take the first steps in a restoration that will move forward one step at a time. The health of the Democratic Party is meaningless unless it can function as an opposition party. This means wrestling it from the weasels who have run it into the ground, and made possible Trump's rise. Abraham Lincoln said something that must be recalled. What Elon is taking cannot be understood without appreciating something elemental. What Elon is stealing doesn't belong to him. It wasn't earned by him. He is trying to steal our shared inheritance and its preservation for our children and generations beyond them from now, which is our most important trust and duty. He is trying to break the United States, and we cannot let him. He holds no power. This is what we are fighting for — Article 1:
This is what stands between us and darkness. Do you understand? We are here because cynicism and indifference, married to selfishness and greed, led us here. Finding something else that is old and making it new again is how to get out of this disaster. Make no mistake. It is a disaster, from which we can escape, but being honest about how we got here, why we got here and who got us here is important. It keeps us from spinning in circles, running into walls, and believing that people like Maggie Haberman have been any less a part of Trump's rise than Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, Elon Musk, David Zaslav, Joe Biden, Jill Biden, or Bob Menendez. Remember, Donald Trump didn't look the American people in the eye from the set of "Morning Joe," and say, "F#@k you." Joe Scarborough did it. He did it sitting next to his wife for the princely sum of at least $10 million per year. They lied about Biden, stifled debate, served the interests of corrupt power, and produced Donald Trump because Trump grows and thrives in dishonest soil. When it all toppled down they ran like two Vichy lieutenants to the side of the man whom they called Hitler, and got on their knees and called it journalism and said they had to do it for you and me. Ok… I'm going to explain something. Why is Elon Musk and his team of incels on the attack? The United States of America has two major political parties. They both became cults of personality. The Republican Party came to serve the most vile man in American history to ever take political power. The party has turned into a hollow conspiracy of fascists, opportunists and oligarchs, who are going to take as much as they can for as long as they can, and defend their right to do so until they are removed from power by us. The Democratic Party became corrupted by weakness, wokeness and spectacular incompetence. What happened? The Democratic Party lost an election to fascists and liars on questions of honesty about the border, Biden's fitness and the economy. Now we are under attack. Make no mistake. It is exactly what it appears to be. Fight back. The Warning with Steve Schmidt is a reader-supported publication.
