Donald Trump and his MAGA allies are on a rampage, threatening corporations that have embraced diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in their hiring, leadership, and workplace policies.
And it's working. Major companies like Boeing, Home Depot, JPMorgan Chase, and Walmart are backing down, rolling back their DEI commitments under pressure from far-right politicians and billionaire donors.
This is unacceptable. Corporations that once claimed to stand for inclusion and fairness can't just abandon those principles the moment they face backlash from extremists.
Not all companies are giving in. Apple, Costco, and others are holding the line, refusing to let political pressure dictate their values. That's proof that standing firm is possible if enough of us demand it. Corporate leaders need to hear loud and clear that abandoning DEI is not just a betrayal of their workers and customers, but a weak and cowardly capitulation to extremists.
They don't get to have it both ways: if they claim to support diversity, they must prove it by resisting these attacks. Sign the petition now to demand corporations stay true to their DEI commitments because backing down isn't an option.
DEI isn't some radical agenda, it's good business. Studies have proven that companies that prioritize diversity perform better financially, foster more innovation, and create workplaces where employees feel valued and motivated.
But Trump and his enablers don't care about facts. They want to use DEI as a political punching bag, stirring up resentment and division to fuel their culture wars. They are banking on corporations bending the knee to their intimidation tactics.
We've seen this playbook before. The right-wing machine stirs up outrage, applies pressure, and waits for corporations to fold. And too often, they do because they assume the backlash from progressives won't be as fierce.
That's where we prove them wrong. If companies think they can quietly retreat from DEI without consequences, they need to hear from us, loud and clear.
