Hakeem Jeffries. While he had some fierce criticism for Rep. Jim Jordan — Jeffries called his GOP colleague a "clear and present danger to our democracy" — the New York Democrat purposefully left a bridge open to the majority of the Republican caucus and came across as the responsible adult in the room to people watching the speaker chaos unfold from home.  Jeffries' self-control was a smart strategy. Democrats don't need to tell America that the Republican Party in the House is dysfunctional and chaotic.
