VIEW IN BROWSER MSNBC DAILY Understand today's news VIEW IN BROWSER MSNBC DAILY Understand today's news Sunday, June 25, 2023 IN CASE YOU MISSED IT Yevgeny Prigozhin, head of the Wagner mercenary group and once confidant of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, launched an offensive into Russia overnight Friday, taking control of Russian military headquarters at Rostov-on-Don, before standing down and withdrawing his soldiers headed for Moscow.   On Monday, President Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden reached a plea agreement with federal authorities in which he will plead guilty to two misdemeanor counts of failing to pay his taxes, an outcome which did not satisfy many Republicans. (Read a full roundup of their reactions here.) On Wednesday, House Judiciary Committee members grilled former special counsel John Durham about his lengthy report that criticized the FBI for its investigation into the Trump campaign's relationship with Russia during the 2016 election.    Throughout the week, rescuers frantically searched for a missing Titanic tourist submersible that had lost contact with five tourists onboard. The U.S. Coast Guard explained in a press conference Thursday that a 'catastrophic implosion' likely took place and the five-person crew is presumed to have not survived.   Saturday marked one year since the Supreme Court ruled in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization that the right to an abortion is not constitutionally protected.
