Lawyers for E. Jean Carroll rested her civil case against Donald Trump on Thursday, shortly after jurors were shown a deposition video of the former president. The defense also rested its case, but the judge left open the possibility of Trump takig the witness stand in his own defense, giving him until 5 p.m. Sunday to decide. If he doesn't, the trial will move to closing arguments Monday. Four members of the far-right Proud Boys organization were found guilty Thursday of the rare charge of seditious conspiracy in connection with the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. A gunman opened fire at a medical office building in Midtown Atlanta on Wednesday, killing one and injuring four others. On Saturday, a gunman killed 8 people and injured 7 others in a mass shooting at an outlet mall in Allen, Texas. The shooter was killed by police and the investigation is ongoing. Missed something?
