One day after Donald Trump was found liable for sexually abusing and defaming E. Jean Carroll in civil trial, the former president participated in a CNN town hall Wednesday night, taking questions from New Hampshire voters. The event came under scrutiny after Trump used it as opportunity to share repeated falsehoods and fraudulent claims with the audience. The Department of Justice on Wednesday charged Rep. George Santos, R-N.Y., with seven counts of wire fraud, three counts of money laundering campaign funds, one count of theft of public funds and two counts of making materially false statements to the House of Representatives. The expiration of Title 42 on Thursday night brought an end to Covid-era restrictions that allowed immigration officials to quickly turn away migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border, ushering in tougher policies for asylum-seekers.
