New developments this week in the multiple legal investigations facing former president Donald Trump, most notably in New York where the Manhattan grand jury is close to determining potential charges against Trump regarding a hush money payment made to Stormy Daniels. In D.C., a federal judge ruled that Trump's former aides, including his ex-chief of staff Mark Meadows, must testify before a grand jury in the January 6 investigation. Another federal judge compelled Trump lawyer Evan Corcoran to testify Friday before the grand jury looking into Trump's handling of classified documents. With his potential indictment looming, Trump held his first big presidential rally in Waco, Texas Saturday night. TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew faced questioning by members of Congress this week, answering questions over whether its Chinese owner ByteDance is a national security threat.
