Yet another sin of Trump's conservative majority Supreme Court that America cannot afford to forget, or forgive.

Republicans have claimed victory in the House, setting the stage for the next era. And to understand how we got here, Jessica Levinson says, we can't overlook the impact of the conservative Supreme Court that Donald Trump helped put together.
In the states of Alabama, Louisiana and Georgia, federal judges found congressional district maps that likely violated the Voting Rights Act. But in each case, the Supreme Court ruled to allow illegal racial gerrymanders, instead of replacing them with new lines that likely would have created districts that heavily favor Democrats. "In the long-term, we must remember that having a court that is hostile to voting rights means that all of us must work ten times harder to get what we are entitled to," Levinson writes, "a meaningful right to vote and to make our voices heard."
