Perhaps the biggest plot twist of the 2022 midterm election has been the much-anticipated red wave that never materialized. Indeed, as Michael A. Cohen writes, Democrats have so far secured a number of House seats above the usual midterm average. "Democrats have much to be thankful for Wednesday morning and they can certainly pat themselves on the back for a race well won," he avows. "But without Republican incompetence and extremism, the day after the midterm election would not have been as sweet." Read Michael A. Cohen's full analysis in your Thursday MSNBC Daily.
