Help Save Wild Bison from Slaughter at Yellowstone Park
Bison are the United States National Mammal. Yellowstone National Park is planning to slaughter 1,300 Wild Bison after being pressured by Montana's livestock industry. This should be against the law. How did the management of wild bison ever come under the authority of the Montana Department of Livestock? Clearly this is a conflict of interest. Isn't it possible that their interest is in their own profits, and not in the conservation of our National Mammal? MCA 81-2-120 must be repealed before it's too late. The Montana Department of Livestock should be removed from this position of authority and a new plan implemented which respects the wild bison in the same way it already respects the wild elk in Montana. Our ancestors slaughtered these majestic animals nearly into extinction. You can make a difference! Please sign this petition and help save these wild buffalo.
